Lapis Lazuli activates the psychic centers at the Third Eye and balances the energies of the Throat Chakra. The Brow Chakra, also called the Third Eye, is the center of our perception and command. It directs our sight and everyday awareness of the world. As a protection stone, Lapis Lazuli protects from psychic and physical attacks. It can be used in protection grids, worn, or carried to bring these protection energies.

Black Onyx is a powerful protection stone that absorbs and transforms negative energy and helps to prevent the drain of personal energy. Black Onyx aids the development of emotional and physical strength and stamina, especially when support is needed during times of stress, confusion or grief.

Hematite is known as a ‘stone for the mind’, as it brings one incredible grounding and calm helping one to focus and organize the mind. Particularly useful and effective at grounding and protecting, Hematite will harmonize one’s mind, body and spirit. Hematite is said to prevent negative energies from entering the aura, allowing harmony in one’s body. The energy of these stones has a strong physical grounding energy, that vibrates strongly at the base or root chakra, and they are known for their action to provide pain relief.

Malas are used for keeping count while reciting, chanting, or mentally repeating a mantra or the name or names of a deity. This sādhanā (practice) is known in Sanskrit as Japa. Malas are typically made with 18, 27, 54 or 108 beads.
